News from the green cellar

Here at the green cellar we’re so enthusiastic about our organic, quality wine and Champagne that we’re dedicated to spreading the word to those who have yet to sample its delights.

So read on to be kept fully up to date with our activities and with recent happenings in the organic produce world.

Tea with an MP
The green cellar's very own Emma Haughty (third from left) recently enjoyed a civilised tea with her local Shrewsbury and Atcham MP, Daniel Kawczynski.

Dinner with MPEmma (third from left) taking tea with her local MP

Together with 20 other local entrepreneurs, Emma discussed the finer points of running a rural business and though the event (organised by Shropshire’s local WiRE networking group NWS, 'Network With Style') was not a Champagne affair, it was a great chance for networking and for finding out how local MPs are there to help rural businesses.

Calling all foodies
We’ll be exhibiting at the forthcoming Ludlow Food & Drink Festival between 12 and 14 September, so come along and sample some of our delicious organic offerings while stocking up on some tasty local delights from the many independent retailers exhibiting on the days. Organised by volunteers, it’s a celebration of good food and wine which has become the largest of its kind in the UK. We can’t wait to toast your arrival there. A very fine food and drink festival
And on 20 September the green cellar will be at Dearnford Lake’s Festival of Fine Food, Arts and Crafts. We’d love you to pop along to our Champagne bar to sample some of our delicious organic Champagne (perhaps after you try your hand at welly wanging, as the event also marks National Welly Week!).

Slow down, we say
The green cellar has just joined Slow Food, an organisation dedicated to savouring and enjoying food and drink in a world where fast-food has all but taken over. So sit back, take a refreshing sip and opt for regional, environmentally- responsible food at its best.
